When supporting a creator, you can choose whether your message is public or private.
Public messages
By default, messages are public:
- Visible to everyone on the creator's profile
- Appear in the "Recent Supporters" section
- Show your name, coffee count, and message
- Great for showing public appreciation
Private messages
To send a private message:
- Check the "Make this message private" option
- Your message will only be visible to the creator
Private messages are useful when:
- You want to share personal feedback
- You prefer to stay anonymous publicly
- You're discussing something sensitive
Note about amounts
Regardless of message privacy, transaction amounts are always private. Only the creator can see how much you paid - other visitors just see your name and message.
