Upload the files that buyers will receive when they purchase your product. Cobbee supports two delivery methods: File Upload (recommended) or Redirect URL.
Delivery Methods
1. File Upload (Recommended)
Upload your digital product directly to Cobbee. Files are securely stored on Cloudflare R2 and delivered via secure, time-limited download links.
- Supported format: ZIP files only (.zip)
- Maximum file size: 1GB
- Security: All uploads are scanned for malware and dangerous content
2. Redirect URL
Provide a link to your content hosted elsewhere (Google Drive, Gumroad, your own server, etc.). After purchase, buyers are redirected to this URL.
How to upload a file
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Shop Settings
- Create a new product or edit an existing one
- Select "File Upload" as the delivery method
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your ZIP file
- Wait for the upload and security scan to complete
- Save your product
Why ZIP files only?
We require ZIP format for security and flexibility:
- Bundle multiple files (PDFs, images, code, etc.) in one download
- Enables comprehensive security scanning of contents
- Prevents execution of potentially harmful file types
- Reduces file size through compression
Security Scanning
Every uploaded file goes through automatic security checks:
- File signature verification - Confirms the file is a genuine ZIP archive
- ZIP bomb detection - Protects against malicious compression attacks
- Dangerous file scanning - Blocks executables, scripts, and other risky file types inside the ZIP
- Path traversal protection - Prevents directory escape attacks
If your file fails the security scan, it will be rejected and you'll see an error message explaining why.
Blocked file types inside ZIP
For security, ZIP files cannot contain:
- Executables: .exe, .bat, .cmd, .msi, .dll, .sh
- Scripts: .js, .vbs, .ps1, .py (standalone)
- Office macros: .docm, .xlsm, .pptm
- Other dangerous types: .jar, .hta, .scr, .lnk
Preview images
Separately from product files, you should upload preview images (up to 5) that show in your shop. These help buyers understand what they're purchasing. You can also add YouTube video links as previews.
