Understanding platform fees

Cobbee charges a small fee on each transaction to keep the platform running.

Fee structure

Cobbee charges a 5% platform fee on all transactions - including coffee support and product sales. This fee is paid by the supporter/buyer as part of the total amount.

Why 5%?

Compared to traditional payment processors (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) and other creator platforms (5-12%), our flat 5% fee is competitive and transparent. This fee helps us cover:

• Gas fees for transactions (Coinbase covers gas for the first 1,000 transactions, then Cobbee covers the rest)
• Server and infrastructure costs
• Development and new features
• Customer support

What about free products?

The 5% fee also applies to Pay What You Want products, even when buyers pay $0. This helps us cover the gas fees and infrastructure costs for processing these transactions.

Example

If a supporter buys 3 coffees at $5 each ($15 total):

Creator receives: $15
Supporter pays: $15 + $0.75 (5% fee) = $15.75

No hidden fees

The platform fee is the only fee Cobbee charges. There are no:

• Monthly subscription fees
• Withdrawal fees
• Account fees
