How payments work (USDC on Base)

Understanding how payments flow on Cobbee.

Payment flow

1. Supporter initiates a coffee purchase on your page
2. They review the payment summary (support amount + 5% platform fee)
3. They confirm the USDC transaction in their wallet
4. The transaction is processed on Base network
5. The full support amount is transferred to your wallet (the platform fee is paid separately by the supporter)
6. The support appears in your dashboard

Your wallet

Payments go directly to the wallet address you used to sign up. This is displayed in your Payment Settings. You cannot change your wallet address as it serves as your identity on the platform.

Instant settlement

Unlike traditional payment platforms, there's no waiting period. Once a transaction is confirmed on Base (usually within seconds), the USDC is in your wallet and you can use it immediately.

No withdrawal needed

The USDC goes directly to your wallet - you don't need to "withdraw" anything. You can swap it, transfer it, or hold it as you wish.
